We are FELTastic Makers! We participated the first National Barnes and Noble Mini Maker Faire at The Shops from Greenridge B&N Bookstore in Greenville, SC. We did a total of five "Meet the Maker" sessions during the three-day event.

To get everyone interested in trying basic needle felting techniques, we had a Community Felting Project to paint a colorful Maker Faire Robot with wool.

 

 

2015-10-30 to 2015-11-01

We participated the 22nd Annual Southeastern Animal Fiber Fair (SAFF) at the WNC Agriculture Center Fairground near  Asheville, NC. SAFF is one of the largest fiber fair in the USA.

On Saturday Oct 31, Cecilia Ho taught two workshops: Felt-A-Tote and 3D Sheep Wool Charm. A total of 25 new needle felters enjoyed their creative felting time!

Cecilia also entered two wool paintings in the 2015 SAFF Fiber Art Contest (Professional 2D hand felted items). Her interpretation of Van Gogh's  "Starry Night" won 1st prize; while her "Liberty Bridge at the Falls Park on the Reedy" won 2nd prize!

We welcome two new retailers of our DIY kits: Woolery; from Kentuncky and A Fistful Of Felt from Tennessee.

Our very own FELTasticFashion designer, Cecilia Ho, demonstrated needle felting work at Upcountry History Museum of Greenville, SC, in conjunction with the opening of the special exhibition, "Pocketful of Posies". Twentry-five original handmade artworks were from the picture book, "Pocketful of Posies: A Treasury of Nursery Rhymes", by nationally recognized fiber artist and author, Salley Mavor.

It's our Canadian FELTasticFahsion team's 3rd year as Fibre Walk participant (booth #1131) at the Creativ Festival in Metro Toronto Convention Centre, North Building in Toronto, Ontario, Canada between October 15-17, 2015.

We joined with local Whispering Pines Stables of Greenville, SC to attending the 2015 SC Organic Living Homesteading Festival at Mineral Spring Park in Williamston, SC on September 12, 2015. Whispering Pines Stables brought their goats and sheeps while we offered felting demo on-site to share felting fun to all.

Three of her original fiber art works were showcased at the "Grand Opening Art Exhibition by Founders, Instructors & Studio Artists" in the historical Brandon Mill, West Greenville, SC between April 30 - May 22, 2015.

US EXPANSION : FELTasticFashion US operation is now located in Upstate South Carolina. We are continuing to offer handmade wool creations, custom made design works, felting DIY project kits, as well as felting workshops for all ages. Monthly felting workshop will be available at Hobby Lobby (1511 Woodruff Road, Greenville, SC) every 3rd Saturday. Additional felting workshops are also available at other locations.
